From the very beginning of our lives, ingestion and absorption of nutritional foods has been top priority. Somewhere along the way of our growing years, we began making our own decisions about food and what, how we like it. This is when many people start to forget the value of nutrients and fall into a chronic cycle of eating low nutritious foods or even "food-like" items. Low nutritional density foods are a leading cause to low energy availability in youth athletes and is also a leading cause of the increasing youth obesity statistics. There is great information published that defines the parameters of nutritional food vs non nutritional foods. It is important to "plant the seed" of regularly eating nutritionally dense foods early in life. Eating healthy foods helps keep all the systems of the body strong and working accordingly.
